Green, Yellow and Red Bell Peppers

We are one of the largest growers of colored peppers on the West Coast. R.A. Rasmussen & Sons uses  green  Elongated Holland bell pepper seed to produce top quality red and yellow bell peppers. Ourpeppers are known for their excellent quality.

Our season is August through September with ad volume beginning on August 25th for colored peppers. We have full and half cartons available with extra large, large, medium and choice packages. To make sure you have the supplies you need for your ads, call us in June to schedule your programs.

Fresh peppers come in variety of colors, shapes, and sizes, but when selecting them, they all follow the same guidelines. Their skin should be firm without any wrinkles and the stem should be fresh and green. They should feel heavy for their size. Avoid peppers with slashes or black spots.
Colored Bells Labels

Red bell peppers are sweet, juicy, colorful, and surprisingly nutritious, while yellow bell peppers are slightly sweet and tangy. They are excellent sources of many essential nutrients. By weight, red peppers have three times as much vitamin C as citrus fruit. Moreover, red peppers are quite a good source of beta-carotene, and offer a good amount of fiber and vitamin B6.
